Peter the Intern has arrived!

Peter the intern has been providing studio support and assisting with music lessons as he finishes his Biology Degree at univisity of Albany. Peter has also been writing a hiphop influenced rock opera to be peformed by the children this summer. Thanks for your help and good luck on your finals Peter!

Since covid-19 impacted our area in March, the BGCCA team has proved that we will do whatever it takes to support our children and families. Today we’re reminded of this by the launch of our new and innovative approach to expand beyond our building walls.

Maytag Dependable Leader Award

Each year, our friends at Maytag celebrate exceptional Boys & Girls Clubs mentors who have gone above and beyond to serve young people and better their communities. To thank them for their hard work and inspire continued programming that enables youth to achieve great futures, these honorees received the Maytag Dependable Leader Award and a $20,000 grant to support a program they want to enhance or implement at their local Club. Mr Gordon was selected from the Albany Clubhouse and decided to invest in Lyricism 101 program by hosting a Music Festival and Upgrading the Lyricism 101 RV
